I've now completed the install of SCUP.
I'm now trying to Import Updates, but when i try a Bulk Catalog Import, i get the error message ' Unable to connect to the database. Please check service of the database else contact your system administrator '.
If i go to Settings in SCUP, and under the Update Server tab select Test connection (Connect to a local update server), i get Test connection succeeded.
Again whilst in Settings, if i go to the Data Source tab, and select Test connection, i get Test connection succeeded (The data source server is a remote server). The current Connection Details under the Data Source tab correctly identifies the server and database.
The updates i'm trying to import are from Dell, i added the catalog files through - Settings - Import List - Find - Added both Dell External Catalogs.
I'm logged onto the server with an account that's an Administrator (on that server and the database server).
Any thoughts why i could be getting this error message ?
