Hi,
I am using sharepoint 2007 and sql server 2008. I need to create a KPI on sharepoint page, and link the KPI with data in sql server table, so whenever data changes in the database, the KPI will display the most recent data.
Thanks

You can try connecting to the data using the Business data catalog and then once the data is in a list, create a new KPI list and KPI and try to reference the list in the KPI as the values it needs to reference.  One problem that sometimes happens though is the out of the box KPIs sometimes can not see a dynamic value in a list.  It might work though with the data coming from the BDC.

Hi,
Sorry for the late reply, I was out of town for a week.
How does this Business data catalog work? do I haveto be an admin of the sharepoint server to set it up? could you please provide step by step instruction on business data catalog part, I am OK with KPI list.
Thanks!
