Expanding secondary links only when you are on that link
I have my secondary links set up as a vertical menu on my page. A number of the nodes it links to have sub pages which are set up as sub links on the list. It seems that I can only have them never expand or always expand. I need a way to get the links to expand when they are on that specific page. For instance

Also is your site public? if so, could you send me a link so I can check it out myself?

I am using a poorly coded template monster theme (clients choice, not mine) that I modified. I am not using any non-standard modules.
If this functionality works in other skins, I will look into their code. Thanks.

Unfortunately the development site is not public.
I know this works in Garland (drupals default theme) and Acquia Slate (http://drupal.org/project/acquia_slate). You may want to try installing DHTML menus and see if it solves your problem.

I was using the secondary links when I needed to create my own navigation menu. The items work exactly as I want them to now. Your suggestion got me looking at the other skins, which soon after led me to notice that they were using the secondary links differently than I was. So you indirectly solved my problem. Thanks for your help.
