backup exec 11d and powervault autoloader

Hi guys.

I just got an Autoloader for my client. It's a PowerVault.

In backup exec, it shows up as IBM1 under Stand Alone Drives.  I've used one of these before, but only with Backup Exec 2010. In 2010, it shows IBM1 > Slots.

On 11d, it does not show "Slots."

I have a tape in slot 1 and slot 2. If I run an inventory it says it's empty.

What am I doing wrong?

You have the wrong set of drivers for the device.  Have a look on the Symantec site for the updated drivers that recognise the drive and the autoloader.

The link to the page is here: http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/286523.htm

Can you tell us what model Powervault it is and the tape drive it uses?

Hi Snibborg.

Do they have these drivers in 32-bit?

The device is a PowerVault 124T.

Hey man,

I ran the "tapinst.exe" and removed the old drivers, rebooted, ran it again and installed the Symantec drivers. All is good :)

Thanks for your help
