I have several users thart are having problems with IE8 so I loaded Google Chrome, and it seemed to work a little better.  On 2 clients I loaded Google Chrome, and it come up, but just spins and spins and can not open the page.  Then a message pops up saying error close or wait.  So I tried Fire Fox, and it loaded fine, then when I click on it it tries to open and quickly shuts down.  Not sure why these two are being difficult, could it be a .NET problem?  Please advise,

Is there a particular web address that this occurs with?
I have seen this happen with favored microsoft components like silverlight.

IE startled locking up on a few units, so I wanted to load another browser on each client machine as a backup. Does not seem to matter what website I try to open. One unit I am working on firefox crashes everyone I open it. Kinda crazy, but I only have a problem with two units out of 20.

Have you tried resetting IE8? On the menu select Tools>Internet options>Advanced tab then click Reset......

I can not even get IE8 to open, it closes before it fully opens.  I did find a corupt .DLL from AVG, removed AVG and reloaded AVG, and I think that fixed 1 of them.  Both FireFox & Google Chrome is now working on w 1 out the units.

1 Down 1 to go...

The Second one is similiar but different, Internet Explorer works, but Google Chrome & FireFox will not.  Google Chrome opens but just spins, and never opens a webpage.  FireFox closes as soon as I open it???

You can also access the IE8 tools through the Control Panel. open the Control Panel and then open Internet Options.

If both browsers are effected, (meaning firefox and IE), look into DNS poisoning or configured HOST files.
