Pls does any one know how to insert japanese characters into an sql server database . Pls if you do , can you pls outline the steps I should take to get this done .

Ok, follow the steps below:

1. Make sure that the columns on which you are trying to insert japanese characters are of datatype nchar or nvarchar or nvarchar(max)
2. Say if 'abc' is you japanese character then while inserting that into your table, make sure you prefix it with N'' like N'abc'
Eg:

INSERT into ur_table ( int_column, japanese_column)
VALUES (1, N'abc');
