Hi there,<br />
I have a very weird thing appening with my ftp server:<br />
-Just created a new ftp site in IIS (running W2008R2)<br />
-Enabled the rules in windows firewall<br />
<br />
Everything looks ok.<br />
I then connect with my ftp client, authentication is ok and then there is an error when opening the data connection (see images).<br />
<br />
I first thought it was an rights issue bit it does the same with the domain admin account....<br />
<br />
Any idea?<br />

IIS 7.0 FTP Strange things happening

A server is a computer program or a machine that waits for requests from other machines or software (clients) and responds to them. This architecture is called the client–server model. The clients may run on the same computer or may connect to the server over a network. The purpose of a server is to share data or hardware and software resources among clients. Typical computing servers are database servers, file servers, mail servers, print servers, web servers, game servers, and application servers.

Server Software

Networking software modules are interfaced with a framework implemented on the machine's operating system that implements the networking functionality of the operating system. The best known frameworks are the TCP/IP model and the OSI model. Systems typically do not use a single protocol to handle a transmission. Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2, based on the Microsoft Vista codebase, is the last 32-bit server operating system released by Microsoft. It has a number of versions, including including Foundation, Standard, Enterprise, Datacenter, Web, HPC Server, Itanium and Storage; new features included server core installation and Hyper-V.
