As some of you may know, there is an issue with the new iPhone OS (iOS4) and Exchange. For some users, they're ActiveSync doesn't work properly and causes increased traffic on the Exchange servers.

I'm not having problems on our servers yet, but wanted to monitor it over the weekend. Does anyone know what I should monitor for this problem? I can't find any specific information on what the iPhone is doing...is it increaseing CPU, interrupts, etc.?

Thanks in advance for the info!

the MS Exchange team has just blogged about it, but there are no information, from my point of view you cannot monitor what IPhone is doing since the processing and memory utilization monitoring are not per device and are per process so what you can do is to monitor processes.

I will suggest on you to use SCOM 2007 R2 to monitor those or use an Exchange monitoring tool.

If you know you have users with IOS4 I suggest you let them use the temporary "fix/walk around" right now

Other than this you can periodically monitor your exchange server start with something as simple as task manager if you don't have fancy tools like SCOM or others

I trust the problem will be solved pretty quickly
