Can't edit a file on SharePoint
One of our employee can't edit documents on SharePoint. Permissions are like everyone else and he has Office 2007. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
Thanks!
is the site added to IE's Intranet or Trusted Zone?
ASKER
He can see the document and open it but the only option he gets is to Open, Save, or Close. Then it only allows him to save to his hard drive.
ASKER
Also, how do you add to IE's Intranet?

Friend,
This i have seen many times in my Org.
On your employee machine, where the problem is,
Uninstall MS Office 20007 all componants.
Restart machine.
Fresh install MS Office 2007 & then check everything would be the way you required.
This has arised because:
This user had MS Office 2003 installed earlier & then it was UPGRADED to MS Office 2007.
Upgradation keeps some componants of 2003: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11 Folder.
This makes Office malfunctioning which may not be observerd over the years since it creates problems very very rarely.
Enjoy. also keeps your it helpdesk informed not to upgrade ms office 2003 but always to fresh install 2007 office after uninstalling office 2003.
