I am having problems with my Toshiba Camileo X100 AVI file. After filming a video clip, I transferred the AVI file from my SD Card to my PC. It seems the AVI is compressed and unable to decompress it.

Please help.

Video compression issues are usually the result of the wrong CODEC. One simple way to fix it is to find the right CODEC that the file is compressed with and to install it on your machine, or you can get a conversion program. Google avi conversion and pick the one you trust the most. Roxio has a pretty cheap and capable one. http://www.roxio.com/enu/promotions/landing/easy-video-copy-and-convert/default.html?gclid=COT66bvrzaICFQ5c2godcRJ0wQ

Agree with propakmike.  Investigate codec issues.  Try AVIcodec (freeware) to determine what codec was used to encode the clip.

Once you know the codec with which the clip was recorded, you can determine if the necessary codec is also installed on the target machine.

The codec is H.264.

I would like to convert the compressed AVI H264 to uncompressed AVI.

I have tried AVS4YOU extract to 1920x1080 but the final clip has a bad resolution.

Any suggestions?

Have you got ffdshow installed?

Video clips first have to be imported from the camcorder via USB into ArcSoft Impression 2 software available inside a CD disc bundled with the camcorder box. Then the video clips can be easily be watchable.
