How to add contacts FROM a distribution list

When you add contacts to a distribution list WITHOUT selecting them from an existing contact, is there any way after the fact to add that contact individually from the list. I see where you can double click on the contact from inside th edistribution list, but there are no prompts to save it. I also see where there is a box to add the contact when you are creating it in the distribution list...but now it's too late for that.

I think that answers my question - that it cannot be done. But again, this distribution list is not populated with existing contacts. A person created a distribution list and just hand typed the meail addresses in. Now she wants to "extract" the contacts out of the distribution list and make an individual contact.
Oh, that's a bit different.

You can try to copy the distribution list into someones mail box, then export it out as a csv.

Open the csv and try to allign the names in one column, then the email address in another column. You can then import it into a blank contact folder and map the fields separating each contact into its own contact file.
ok. i understand what you are saying. there are only about a dozen contacts in the list. might be just as easy to create them from scratch.
