Hi,

I have a Intel 945 S-Series MotherBoard. I recently purchased GEForce 9500 GT graphics card. I have PCIE slot on the MB. when I fixed the card in the slot and tried to boot the system, it doesnt show any display however system is booting. BIOS doesnt show PCIE slot but it shows PCI1 & PCI2 slots. How to make the BIOS detect the slot?

Regards,

You can also try disabling the onboard video card. or changing the primary video to PCI-E in the bios.

can you test the card on another pc?  -it may just be bad...
also -  did you connect the extra power connectors??
and...can your power supply handle the extra load ?  verify with : http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/

I assume you moved your monitor cable from the on-board adapter to the video card adapter? Usually when a graphics card is installed, the on-board adapter is disabled automatically.

Thanks all for the information. I was able to install the Graphics Card and MB is detecting it after I updated the BIOS version.
