downloading successfully into outlook, it will remove them from yahoo's servers.
but if it doesnt, you can go into yahoo webmail, options, use the "new" interface which looks kind of like outlook, and change your preferences so you see all emails on one page.
you can click the first one one time, then shift-click onto the last email, right-click the selection, delete. it can only delete 25,000 emails at a time, but you can just do it a few times to get rid of them all
if the download into outlook doesn't finish, it won't mark the messages as deleted on yahoo, and it will download them again (duplicating in outlook).

bsharath - can you tell us what you have in the inbound/pop3 server setting in your outlook?
also, what do you have under "more settings" > "advanced" > the inbound/pop3 port number?

What is the error? Is it outbound only?
your ISP could be blocking port 25. Try changing your outbound port to 587. In Outlook 2k7, Tools >> Account Settings. Click on your email account. Click More Settings... >> Advanced Tab under Outgoing Server (SMTP):

any luck?
i don't see anywhere that the author says he has any problem with outbound smtp or sending mail, he's trying to receive his yahoo mail in outlook by pop3 and it's not connecting, because ypops isn't set up properly.
