with ypops or freepops, you create a new pop3 account in outlook.
for the username, put your email address - password is your yahoo password of course

for the incoming server, put 127.0.0.1
more settings > advanced
incoming port should be 2000 (for freepops, probably the same with ypops)
no checkmarks to leave it on the server and it will remove it from the server

your outgoing server should be whatever your internet service provider gives you

downloading successfully into outlook, it will remove them from yahoo's servers.

but if it doesnt, you can go into yahoo webmail, options, use the "new" interface which looks kind of like outlook, and change your preferences so you see all emails on one page.

you can click the first one one time, then shift-click onto the last email, right-click the selection, delete.  it can only delete 25,000 emails at a time, but you can just do it a few times to get rid of them all

if the download into outlook doesn't finish, it won't mark the messages as deleted on yahoo, and it will download them again (duplicating in outlook).

bsharath - can you tell us what you have in the inbound/pop3 server setting in your outlook?
also, what do you have under "more settings" > "advanced" > the inbound/pop3 port number?

What is the error? Is it outbound only?
your ISP could be blocking port 25. Try changing your outbound port to 587. In Outlook 2k7, Tools >> Account Settings. Click on your email account. Click More Settings... >> Advanced Tab under Outgoing Server (SMTP):

i don't see anywhere that the author says he has any problem with outbound smtp or sending mail, he's trying to receive his yahoo mail in outlook by pop3 and it's not connecting, because ypops isn't set up properly.

Thank you all
I will take it as not possible or not a easy task
2nd my Antivirus was blocking these applications
3rd i sorted the purpose as yahoo has come with a new option of selecting all emails in one short and deleting them. So it did solve my purpose
