Formatting Issue in Matrix Cell which contains Null Values (SSRS 2005)

Hi,

I have a Matrix in SSRS 2005.

Some of the Cell in the Matrix Contain Null Values. (Nothing)

When I applied formatting (Like Underline,Backgorund Color ) to all Cells, this formatting is not applying to Cell Which contains NULL Values ?

How can i apply Formatting to Cell which contain Null Values in SSRS 2005 Matrix >

Have you tried using ISNULL(), as in (if it is character data):
SELECT ISNULL(YourColumnName, '') YourColumnName, ...
FROM ...
ISNULL
Replaces NULL with the specified replacement value.

Syntax
ISNULL ( check_expression , replacement_value )

Arguments
check_expression

Is the expression to be checked for NULL. check_expression can be of any type.

replacement_value

Is the expression to be returned if check_expression is NULL. replacement_value must have the same type as check_expresssion.

Return Types
Returns the same type as check_expression.

Remarks
The value of check_expression is returned if it is not NULL; otherwise, replacement_value is returned.

or in the field as value use the following expression

=iif(field.value="",0,field.value)

I tryied with IsNULL.

But since there is not data available in the Database rows, Een though Using IsNULL, Query will not return any rows.

can you change the sql?

if so just do it there..

select case field is null then 0 else field end as field from table
