I am attempting to reset a Dell PowerConnect 6248 to factory defaults. &nbsp;I have issued the following command from enable mode:<br />

clear config<br />
<br />
I then attempt to copy the running-config to startup-config by issuing the following command:<br />

copy running-config startup-config<br />
<br />
it appears to save the running-config to the startup-config, because I can issue a show running-config and it appears to have reset the config, but when I issue the reload command to reboot the switch the factory-default config appears to have been wiped out<br />

I also tried resetting the config by selecting the &quot;Start Boot Menu&quot; option and selecting option 10, &quot;Restore configuration to factory defaults&quot;, but this does work.<br />
<br />
The switch is running older firmware - 1.0.0.27.<br />
<br />
Any advice / guidance as to how I can troubleshoot and resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.<br />
