Adding POP3 Account to Outlook 2010

Just recently upgraded to Outlook 2010.  My pop3 accounts were transferred over as well as my exchange account.

Now I need to add a new POP3 account however I get an error message when I try to use the existing outlook2.ost file:
The file you chose is not an Outlook Data File.  You must select a new file of this type.

I already have too much as is, and would not like to use a new OST / PST file.  How can I use the same (local) OST os I don't have to worry about switching files, etc?

I guess you can ignore step 1.

In the Account Settings Dialog box, I can highlight the new POP3 account.  When I hit Change (under the EMail tab), it takes me to the Change Account dialog box and just offers me the ability to change the email, user / pass, mail settings, nothing is in there re: changing to the .ost file.
I tried to right click on the new POP3 account, but nothing happens.

Ok - after a bit more clicking, I was finally able to get the POP account into the original OST file.
The OST file is a sync file for a PST file. I don't think you can use it by itself. Since you have an Exchange Account (which is an Outlook Profile), I think you need to set up a new Outlook Profile and use that for your POP3 account with a PST file in the new Profile. That is what I have done for clients. ... Thinkpads_User
On the Account Settings Dialog Box, highlight the new POP3 account.  Hit the Change Folder button.  This will show the opened PST / OST file(s).  You should see your Exchange account.  You can then choose the Inbox file and hit OK.
