How do I install Plomino Products for Plone using buildout

I install plone 3.3.5 and would like to install plone product Plomino using a custom buildout script.

I could not find instruction on any other way to install it. Previously install was just by placing the product in the Products folder.

From Plomino site, there was instruction to add below to the buildout.cfg:

extends =
        https://plomino.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/plomino/trunk/buildouts/buildout-plone3.cfg

and then run from zinstance-     ./bin/buildout

results in Bad Gateway from the Proxy server after restart. My guess was it could not restart.

I need help to install the Product. There is the Plomino-1.6.3.tar.gz. Maybe someone here knows how to install it manually. Offcourse there are dependencies to install first.

So I will break up the point rewarding if need be.

You may want to take a look at your instance.log file (typically in ./zinstance/var/log-- if you're not running under a ZEO cluster setup).  It'll probably point you in the direction of why your plone instance failed to start.

You can also try starting your instance manually and see why it's bombing:

  ./zinstance/parts/instance/bin/runzope

If it doesn't start, it'll choke and give you a stack exception trace-- which should be the same as what you'll find in your log.

If it's not obvious from the exception trace what's going, post the trace and maybe we can help some more.

I have installed a new plone 3.3.5

from this instruction at http://www.plomino.net/first-steps/install-plomino

added
extends =
        https://plomino.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/plomino/trunk/buildouts/buildout-plone3.cfg

run ./bin/buildout

but I don't think its picking up Plomino

run again and still the same.

The build.cfg is as attached tho I rename it buildout.txt to upload
buildout.txt
instance.log
Are you sure it's not installed?   What's the output of running ./bin/buildout?

In the ZMI, under Products, I don't see CMFplomino installed as expected after restart.

In fact when I run ./bin/buildout, I dont see verbose any CMFPlomino installed or other dependencies.

Its not parsing, the section that I added, that I am sure.
I should have taken a closer look at your buildout.  You need to modify the current extends section-- not add an additional one at the top.   Give the attached a try.

complains MissingSectionHeaderError : File contains No Section Header

originally below the extends line

extends = versions.cfg

Tried both anyway, still gives the above error.
Can you post your entire stack trace and the buildout that you're using now?  A MissingSectionHeader indicates you've got a messed up buildout.cfg.

Heres the buildout script
buildout.txt
You deleted line 30 that used to say:

[buildout]

That's the missing section header that it's complaining about.   That needs to be the first non-blank uncommented line in the script.

OK, Thanks, I'll test it
