Press F6 at the splash screen and add "acpi=off" to the end of the boot parameters line.

Hello JohnnyCanuck,

what screen will that be "SPLASH SCREEN"

Thank You,

When the CD/DVD boots it should pause at an installation screen that offers some boot options.  Press F6 at this point and add the "acpi=off".  If this doesn't work you might also try adding "noapic".  Note that "acpi=off" and "noapic" are 2 different options.
