update-rc.d myscript defaults 98 02

98 and 02 are the start and stop sequence numbers respectively. Both are numbers between 00 and 99 and specify how early or late a service is started or killed. If a service is started late, it should be killed early and vice-versa. A good rule of thumb is to make the stop sequence number equal to 100 minus the start sequence number.

For more information on the usage of update-rc.d

    man update-rc.d

just make sure the startup number of your desired service(myscript) is lower than the mysql

Hi can you tell me how can i check to see whats mysql start and stop order so i can set zfs-fuse below that i have looked at man pages but it does not tell me how to get a boot list??

for runlevel 2 edit the see the folder /etc/rc2.d for runlevel 5 it is /etc/rc5/d etc. the numbers are what you are looking for
you can determine your runlevel with the runlevel command

Hi Theruck,

After your comments what done was to cd into rc2.d & rc5.d and rename S99zfs-fuse to S18zfs-fuse rebooted the system now mysql starts on reboot and stops complaining about partion be too full.

Not sure if that was correct way but it seemed to work zfs-fuse now starts before mysql

Thank you for the knowledge

Regards
yes also a correct way but doing it using update-rc.d would make you the change to all the runlevels at the same time so it would be much less work to do
