I was able to record a Movie from my Dish Network DVR onto a hard drive. I am trying to view the file to see the size and properties but not sure how to access it. I am running Windows XP but The hard drive was reformated using another system because I am unable to view this file using windows. Perhapes it is under Linux OS. Any Idea how i can view the file? Are recordings made by the DVR a unique file type?
Thanks

Thats the problem, I cant view the file to discover the extension or properties of this file. I cant seem to view even the hard drive with my computer (windows XP). Do you think linux is the OS that has created this file?
which Dish Network DVR do you have?
