Hello, i have to configure oracle data guard on oracle 11g R2 ,  the  connect  to the  auxiliary oracle instance
must be performed on unmounted database and with @dblink format  , this is my result :

RMAN> connect auxiliary sys/****@stanbyDB
RMAN-04006: error from auxiliary database: ORA-12528: TNS:listener: all appropriate instances are blocking new connections

What is the listener config  for that ?

Best regards,

What stage of the process are you?

Have you created the password file on the standby?
Have you set the sid and started the processes on the standby?
Have you started the listener on the standby node?

The correct connection from the PRIMARY node should be RMAN>connect target sys/****@primaryDB auxiliary  sys/****@stanbyDB

Another quick way around this is to reverse your connection.  Log in from from the Standby host by setting your ORACLE_SID and set TNSNAMES up to connect back to the primary.

rman target sys@primary auxiliary /

Of course you have to move your scripts and everything over as well.
