When I try to creat a DB in SQL with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio I get an error 5133. This is a new Server 2008 with SQL 2008 R2 just built last week.

I tried to creat a test Database from the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio I get an error 5133

Any Ideas would be great as I am not a DBA and am having to learn on the Fly....

Make sure that directory exists and you have full control to it and the disk is not full.

You mentioned file location as MSSQL\DAT\timetest_log.ldf..
Just change it to MSSQL\DATA\timetest_log.ldf (missing A letter) to fix it..

Created the DAT Subdirectory and wala it worked...
