Sales Quotes in Sage Line 50

Hi,

We are new to Sage and want to use one part of it to create sales quotes for customers.

We have started to input our products and have created our own product numbers, for example PR00001 but have also included the manufacturers part number when creating the product.

The problem we have at the moment is when we then go to create a quote, when we want to add a product, it only lists our part numbers in the dropdown list.

My question is, is it possible to list the manufacturer part number instead of ours when selecting the item, but when we choose the item to add, it adds our part number instead of the manufacturers if that makes sense?

We have reasons for doing it the above way but we mainly know the manufacturers part numbers and not ours.

Thanks in advance.
