oh, well i have a rollover cable, so i need an adapter rj45-serial? i'd prefere to use rj45 since i have no serial connection on laptops, and neither on desktops i suppose.<br />
is it possible to use the nic instead of serial port?

A switch is a device that filters and forwards packets of data between LAN segments.
