How do I uninstall unsigned system drivers
I wish to do an in place upgrade of a server 2003 Standard R2 machine to Server 2008 Standard R2. However the Compatibility report states that I need to Uninstall an unsigned system driver first.
Uninstall these unsigned system drivers:
Program: Symantec Volume Snapshot Provider
Publisher: Symantec Corporation
Path: C:\WINDOWS\System32\DRIVER S\vsp.sys
The only Symantec software installed on this machine is the "backup exec" backup agent which I uninstalled using the add remove programs wizard. but this driver still remains. How do I go about uninstalling this driver correctly so I don't break anything?
Thanks

I gave the instructions in that article a shot on Friday, it sent my machine into one of those never ending reboot and Blue Screen loops.... Whoops!
Good thing I was testing this on a duplicate of the real machine and not the live machine. :-) I mad a new duplicate machine today and am going to give it another go in a bit.
