Windows 7 Okidata cannot print multiple copies
I have several Okidata 320/321 microline printers. My XP machines have no issues, but I have 2 Windows 7 Pro machines that can not print multiple copies of a document from our software (connecting via terminal emulator - it's called Megasys). I can print 2 copies of a notepad file from the Win7 machines. The printers are all configured as local TCP/IP ports on all workstations.
I've been up and down the printer settings and tried every configuration possible. I've also used multiple Okidata drivers, Generic drivers and Epson 9 pin drivers. It only affects the Windows 7 machines. Manually printing multiples is not an option.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

>> I have 2 Windows 7 Pro machines that can not print multiple copies of a document << what happens? errors, or what ?
And what software is being used to print from?

The software is called Megasys. Once the item is selected for printing, the standard Windows print folder comes up, listing all of the connected printers. Here I can select my destination printer, number of copies, advanced options, etc.
There are no errors when attempting to print multiples to the Okidata. One copy prints perfectly fine.
If I follow the same procedure, but print to a workgroup laser - multiple copies print just fine. I'm convinced that it's driver related, but Okidata.com says that the built in Windows (or Windows Update) drivers are the only ones we should need. Any other drivers have been equally unsuccessful.
Thanks!

You said you tried generic/text only which would have sent the print job the number of times you told it to print. If that, too, did not print properly, you have an issue with Megasys and Win7, not the OKI's. Have you tried a direct connection to one of the Win7 systems?

The generic driver printed one copy when I requested two. It did, however, produce a second page with 2 characters of gibberish (a € and a ¥ or something). some of the Oki drivers I had tried produced a proper first page with a second BLANK page. Should have mentioned that earlier.
Directly connecting to a printer is on my list of next options, but it's going to be a project to do so. Even if it works, it isn't a long term solution for us, but at least we'll scratch one more off the list.
Any non-Megasys print job produced multiple copies as requested. I'm stuck on the part where this doesn't happen in XP and Megasys claims that this isn't their issue. If there is a known Windows 7 print issue, we can't be their first customer who has encountered this.
I'm gonna try switching the print servers.

are there no updates for the Megasys program? it looks like the problem is on their side

It certainly appears that way. I get the feeling that I'm stuck with a software vendor that won't own up to a known issue. We shall see.

Thanks for the assistance, everyone.
I wound up taking the XP Mode route. I had to install the software and the printers there, but everything now works as it should. It certainly isn't ideal, but it works.

Solution was technically a workaround - not a true solution.
