Sender Id must be configured with a list of trusted mail servers

Hi

A SBS 2003 R2 all SPs installed. One nick. External spam filtering company filters mails and in the HW FW I accept smtp only from their IPs.

Sould I fill something to ”Sender ID and Connection Filter Configuration Settings”?

Thanks,

Juha

Hi

I just disabled Sender ID filtering under the default SMTP virtual server. As the NDR - I just send a test mail through Yahoo and received NDR too. So we can forget that problem.

Thanks,

Juha

Hi

I have question also here:
https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/26322769/Recipient-address-rejected-Greylisted-for-5-minutes-Event-id-7002.html?anchorAnswerId=33187863#a33187863

I fixed the Sender Id filter by enabling only the IMF.

I'm booting the server and will do "ping fosdec.com" after that.

Rgs,

Juha

"As the NDR - I just send a test mail through Yahoo and received NDR too. So we can forget that problem." I send an mail from Yahoo to that user and got NDR. I suppose that the address were incorrect.

Hi

This case is now solved.

Zyxel firewall had Intrusion Detection Rules.
It took mails from hosted spam-filter as an attempt to run a BUFFER overflow on SMTP. And it hit the firewall rules.

Send an email to hosted spam-filter company if they have any idea why some mails from them (coming from yahoo) were regognized as IDP at the FW. The firewall's firmware is pretty old but since I have there VPN setup and everything else it will be a great risk to try to update firmware. I probably need to monitor it daily basis for awhile the FW logs.

The Exchange own filters are no set back.

Thank you all again!

Rgs, Juha
