This question was asked in 1998 and the solution used VB6.  There are multiple examples of GetVolume/Setvolume/Mute for controlling the Window/services/Mixer in VB net.  I want to use my own mixer and use callback to keep it aligned to any user changes to the Windows mixer (Speakers volume will do nicely).    I don't want to poll the the mixer every 100mS or such.
Keep it simple please, I have never used Callback.
