Mailbox unknown or not accepting mail. 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay

I tried to configure pop service to be used with my exchange server. I started to run into some issues that im still currently investigating; however, ANY email that try to come in now are bounced back. I removed the pop service and SMTP is up and running and so is everything else in exchange it looks like. What could I have possibly done to make ALL incoming mail bounce back? Exchange 2003 standard is the os I have and I use Symantec AV gateway.
