Convert SkecthUp to SolidWorks?

Last Modified: 2013-12-04
*I don't work in either of these applications!

Is anyone aware of any FREE methods to convert a SketchUp model to a SolidWords format so it can used in machining environments?

If no such thing exists, does anyone have any personal experience in using any piece of software/add-in that can do this?  How much does it cost?

If possible, can it be done WITHOUT owning SolidWorks?

I'm a C#/VB.Net programmer, are there any SDK's/API's I can use to facilitate the conversion myself?
(...again, WITHOUT owning SolidWorks...)
