It is definitly technically possible, however I don't think it has been done well yet. There are some emerging changes to TS that might improve things, but this is not optimized for gaming.
With 2008 R2 Sp2 you are going to see some new features that will enhance this experience.

It may not be 100% what you are looking for. Gaming is is tough over terminal services at this point. Citrix has enhanced the experience in current versions, but this may still not be the gaming experience that you desire.

hmm so remoteFX seems to be the way to inregards to this.. but of course.. 30-50 Mbps connections are somewhat unrealistic ATP... unless you paid for a dedicated server somehwere with a GigaBit LAN...
hmm interesting topics.. but it seems to be comming down the road.....
Cool--- Thanks!

"tsmvp", what about TCP over IP? I'm not fully abreast of that technology, but hear it's pretty lightweight. Any knowledge of this? (I can post another question if you'd like so as not to 'blog' up "ambush276"'s post).

I think you meant PCoIP, the protocol developed by teradici, that is used by VMWare on their VMWare View product.
It is indeed capable of most things but as RemoteFX, for good quality it will use a lot of bandwidth (less though) and packet loss simply destroys it. I actually recorded a video showing how it suffers with loss. Check them on YouTube, http://www.YouTube.com/claudrodr.

the best you're going to get though is server 2008 R2, and using an XP client with sp3 (or vista/7) with the latest RDP client program, and dotnet 3.5. with this setup, all the video rendering is done on the client and not traversed over the wire
