Japanese language not displayed properly in Outlook 2003 on Windows 7

I recently replaced an old XP comuter with a new one with Windows 7 Pro. I moved over the installation of Office 2003. On the new computer there are issues with some emails that are written in Japanese. Only on some of them the subjects and names are not displaying anthing. It is not that they dont display it correctly, but nothing at all. On the XP machine it displays correctly.

Anyone have any ideas?

I was thinking of upgrading to Ultimate since it is supposed to have the language packs built in, but I am not sure if this is the issue since it displays some Japanese emails perfectly and does not for others.
