New KVM
I'm looking for a new KVM solution. I had a Trendnet and most recently an Iogear. They both just share a monitor, keyboard/mouse between my XP desktop and VISTA Laptop. For around $20... all I need or want.
I was wondering if anyone knew about a fairly cheap (under $25-30) hardware replacement?
I was also wondering about a software type solution... basically free.
I asked EE about 2.5 years ago. But I am just checking to see if anyone has some new ideas or information.

Cool! I'll try UltraVNC first and post back.... might be a while as I have a lot to do today after Church.

... I meant I'll try TightVNC first. Looks to have better support and reviews.

I recieved this as an XMass present:
==> http://www.iogear.com/product/GCS661U/
Since my desktop and laptop are usually 5-6 feet apart, I can use it to accomplish what I want for right now.
I have security concerns about TightVNC and UltraVNC. Plus I did some more research on various free remote desktop options.they don't seem as easy as TeamViewer.
Thanks for the ideas though... they actually got me going on the research thing.

I've done some research and because... times are tough and I am cheap... the free UltraVNC and TightVNC look to be options at this point.
One thing though, both softwares do not mention VISTA ... will they work?
