Merge 2 Forests into 1 Microsoft ADAM Instance for LDAP authentication

Is it possible to have to forests in 1 instance of ADAM and sync them including passwords? How can I achieve this? Am I using the right tools?

I am trying to combine 2 OUs ( SMTP Users) from different forests into 1 ADAM instance and then sync them with Adamsync.

I created an instance called dc=merged,dc=com,  used AD Schema Analyzer to combine the 2 schemas and uploaded the output schema into the ADAM instance.

Then I synced them with AdamSync (Well one so far)

SO now in the ADAM instance DNs are now: cn=user1,cn=users,dc=merged,dc=com.  Where it used to be cn=user1,cn=users,dc=contoso,dc=com??

p.s. Does anyone know of a good book with examples on how to use ADAM / AD LDS?
