Hello,

I am having some real trouble debugging an issue in one of my applications.  I have a radiobutton list control where I bind Items at page load.  The Radio Button List has AutoPostBack="True".  When the user clicks on this all it does is hide or unhide a hides a Panel with more controls.

However when I click on the radio button selection I get the following error

System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Index and length must refer to a location within the string.
Parameter name: length

Stack Trace:

[ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Index and length must refer to a location within the string.

   System.String.InternalSubStringWithChecks(Int32 startIndex, Int32 length, Boolean fAlwaysCopy) +7493051

   System.Web.UI.Page.LoadAllState() +312
   System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) +1661

Now the issue I have is I cannot for the life of me step through the code (no breakpoints work), use a Try Catch to catch the error or find the LOCATION of where this index out of range is occurring.

My question is how DO i locate the problem because nothing seems to be working.

Please assist

Thank you.

My problem is I cannot locate the problem, not the problem itself (since I cannot find it)  As soon as the index is changed on the radiobutton list I get the Error, and I cannot find what it is referring to as the problem.

I narrowed the issue down, I found that If I remove the left hand navigation from the master page, the control will work.  So the problem is something to do with the controls in the left hand navigation.

What is located in the left hand nav is a EO.Web.DLL control called Treeview which is basixally a Treeview with text boxes.

However when I put breakpoints in the code on page load, it doesnt reach to that point.

So I am guessing it may have something to do with the DLL... is there a way to trace or debug the DLL?
