Asus X50R Service Manual

Hi All,

I need to replace the BIOS battery in an Asus X50R laptop. Does anyone have the Asus X50R laptop service manual or can anyone describe the specific procedure to replace the BIOS battery, preferably with diagrams or photos.

Thanks for the pointers and the link to the photo.

The photo is useful because I've now got a better idea of where the BIOS battery is, but I couldn't find what I was looking for at the site you mentioned. Specifically I'm seeking disassembly instructions for the Asus x50r laptop - I couldn't find any reference to the x50r. Does this site use some alternative method for identification?

What you need is a service manual for your machine.

Have a look at this site http://repair4laptop.org/disassembly_asus.html
There is a description on how to remove the keyboard for your model. That could give you a kick start point to disassemble your machine.
