Ipad will not connect to Exchange

My customer has an Small Business Server 2003 running Exchange.
All sales persons uses Apple Iphone G3 to read mail and calandar.
All things working with firewall, ports and Thawte certificate.
Now the manager has bought himself an Apple Ipad.
We try to set the client up identical to the settings on the Iphones but we can not connect.
It says something like "Unable to verify account"
Again we know for sure that the provided settings is correct and working on an Iphone.
