On the left side, there is a down arrow that will show the desktop as a shortcut.
Is that what you mean?

when you get the window to select where to save the file, what does it say in the address bar on the top?

Right-Click "Favorites" and select Restore Favorite links.

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

If you right-click "Desktop" again there is an option to remove.  Maybe you did it by accident?
