style sheet file relation with an aspx page in VS 2008? How to?

Hi there;

I was following an online training and in the training, the guy explaining selects the stylesheet for his use as in the shot 1.

When I try to do the same thing, I failed because there is no section to select my css file as in the shot 2.

The guy was using VS 2005 Express whereas I am using VS 2008, sometimes 2010.

How can I relate the style sheet file with an aspx page in VS 2008?

Best regards.

Hi,

In Visual Studio 2008, Microsoft introduce the new Manage Style Tool window. You can manage style sheet files and their classes through this tool window. For further reference read the following link:

Hi,

You can't add stylesheet file in the class. StyleSheet (CSS file) can be linked up with the page through this:

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" >
<head runat="server">
    <title>Login To Munjee</title>
	<LINK href="~/StyleSheet.css" type="text/css" rel="stylesheet">
</head>
<body>
</body
</html>

Open in new window

Hi,

I don't have the License of LearnVisualStudio.com. But i verified the your problem and found that you can add style sheet through design view as well. Following are the steps:

- First select the page.
- The scroll down the property window.
- Select the StyleSheet property.
- Press the browser (...) button.
- Select your style sheet and press ok button.

Note: Select Page means in the properties window shows the Document object. Not any other control name. This will happen only when you click on the pages white background.

the problem is:
I select the page Default.aspx in design view, I clicked the white background but the still I have no property as StyleSheet property.

Could you check the screenshot and verify me?

You can see my image which shows you the stylesheet and the document selected in properties.

Also i need the page source code so i can verify it as well.
