i am working on wamp in windows7.

i have URL like this:

http://localhost/violet/view-products.php?product_id=235

which i want to convert to SEO friendly URL

kindly tell me how to do this. i used http://www.linkvendor.com/seo-tools/url-rewrite.html to generate mod rule and put it in .htaaccess file but it didn't work. i do have rewrite_module on in my apache modules. don't know what i am doing wrong here.

this is what i got from that website:


RewriteEngine on

RewriteRule view-products/product_id/(.*) view-products.php?product_id=$1
