winrar command line for sub directories ??

I have a folder directory, inside of it there are a lot of other folders that all have zip files in it.

I am trying to figure out the right syntax for Winrar in the command line to pick a target directory and say go thru all the sub directories and unrar all files it encounters

does anyone know if that is possible, haven't been able to figure it out yet

I found that it can be done in Lynax, but I can't find anything of how it can be done in Windows XP command line

This isn't a native function of WinRAR.
You could get WinRAR to do it by using Windows Search to find all .Zip files in the folder and subfolders first then selecting All and running WinRAR from a right-click.
However you might find it easier for this to use a third party freeware utility called Unziplify. Once installed set the selection to search all sub-folders, then on a right-click of the upper-most folder you will have a right-click context option Unziplify which will search that folder and every sub-folder and extract any archives found into an "Unziplify" folder within each sub-folder.
It's not a command line solution though as it's Windows driven.

Never really thought about using the search feature that way, thanks for answering the questions and suggesting a work around
