WHEN DO I CHECK FOR UPDATE I GET ERROR CODE 80072EFD IN WINDOWS SMALL BUSSINES SERVER 2008
When i check for updates in sbs 2008 I get error 80072efd how ever there is option it say (CHECK ON LINE FOR UPDATE IN WINDOWS UPDATE) ) whe i click on that it works how ever why doesnt work the other way like before (download the updates and ask me if i want to install it) i doesn't do it anymore i have to actually do it thru (CHECK ON LINE FOR UPDATE IN WINDOWS UPDATE), i check the policy and it look to good to me, please help thank you.

I did that but the problem still the same, I add to safe site list .

Do you have proxy enabled?

I was just able to resolve this by doing the following on one of my 2008 boxes:
removing "WindowsUpdate" key from:
HKLM\Software\Policies\Mic rosoft\Win dows\Windo wsUpdate
as this contained references to another server on the network (we don't have WSUS setup)
Restarted the Windows Update server after this and the updates started working.
I was just able to resolve this by doing the following on one of my 2008 boxes:

Sorry that should be Windows Update Service, not server - but either would work I guess.
