Hi,

Is it possible that in the /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log the "Memory Information" lines will be missing?

The Memory information is added to syslog.log on boot up, if you use cron to rotate your log file, the old log file is changed to a different name.
also check your syslog configuration file, please have a look at the following page to learn more details: (pay attention to the bottom part of the doc)
