syslogins has BUILTIN\Administrators

inside the above, there are several windows logins and groups.

to assign a job owner for a DTS package, can I choose a windows login under the 'BUILTIN\Administrators' group only?

if i choose BUILTIN\Administrators then every login/group in BUILTIN\Administrators is their owner, which i do not want?

thanks

Best practice states that you should remove BuiltIn/Admins.  Then create a separate AD account for running DTS packages, give that account the minimum permissions on Sql and on the server/network and use that account as the job owner for all DTS packages.  If there are many jobs that require differing levels of permissions, then create multiple.

OK. Good point. Thanks.

But to clarify my intent on the question, let's say that it is an AD group account that is assigned to the job as the owner. (This group is a login in the server) Let's say also that this AD group account has 5 individual windows domain login account under it.

instead of assigning the AD group name, can i just assign one of the individual windows domain account, and will that be acceptable, even though it is not specifically seen in the syslogins entries.

please let me know if i am not coming through clear on my point.
