Hello, I am trying to install KMS services on a new 2008 r2 server in our domian.

As far as I know, all I have to do on the server side of things is run the cscript slmgr.vbs /ipk <KMS key for r2>

and it sorts itself out?

I get the following error:

Run 'slui.exe 0x2a 0xC004F050' to display the error text.
Error: 0xC004F050

With the following Event viewer error:

Log Name:      Application
Source:        Microsoft-Windows-Security-Licensing-SLC
Date:          18/08/2010 2:20:34 PM
Event ID:      1031
Task Category: None
Level:         Warning
Keywords:      Classic
Description:
Registration of PidConfiguration data failed. hr=0xC004E016, OOB License Id=782923e-b15-476-b3a-1ab25f38e7d.

I have a few r2 KMS keys, which I tried them all, and also tried our 'Class C' datacenter keys (which we have never used).

Anyone know how to get past this?
