Lets talk about Office Communicator Web version 2007.
To use this user dont need to install Offfice Communicator in machine rather access it through web.

When you want to chat with any of the contact it will open a browser in small size having look and feel almost same as Windows version of communicator.

Can i capture those chatting some how in a window application to keep chat histpry locally.

OCS can be configured to store it's history in your Outlook mailbox, that is by far the easiest way to accomplish what you're trying to do.

As for capturing the contents of an IE window, you could use the SendKeys API to send ctrl-a, ctrl-c to the window and then reading the clipboard contents from your app.

You can also write your own IE add-on and directly manipulate the contents of the window from there. See:

Did you even try the options I proposed? You didn't ask for more information or came back with why they didn't work for you.

Without some feedback, we cannot help you!
