Lets talk about Office Communicator Web version 2007.
To use this user dont need to install Offfice Communicator in machine rather access it through web.

When you want to chat with any of the contact it will open a browser in small size having look and feel almost same as Windows version of communicator.

Can i capture those chatting some how in a window application to keep chat histpry locally.
oh, right.
sorry, i can't help you on this one =\

Did you even try the options I proposed? You didn't ask for more information or came back with why they didn't work for you.

Without some feedback, we cannot help you!
