Hi Experts,
I make backups with BE12.5 from win 2003 and 2008.
BE12.5 is installed on Win2008 x64

The backup of server01 failed. The error code is :
Error: e000fe30 - A communications failure has occurred is received when backing up Microsoft SQL Server databases

I checked the service VSS WRITER, is ok.
But when I checked the command: VSSADMIN LIST WRITERS , then I have not stable messages, check here:

C:\>vssadmin list writers
vssadmin 1.1 - Volume Shadow Copy Service administrative command-line tool

Have you tried re-registering your VSS writers?  This will more than likely resolve your issue ;

net stop "System Event Notification"
net stop "COM+ Event System"
net stop "Microsoft Software Shadow Copy Provider "
net stop "Volume Shadow Copy"
cd /d %windir%\system32
net stop vss
net stop swprv
regsvr32 /s ole32.dll
regsvr32 /s oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 /s Vss_ps.dll
vssvc /register
regsvr32 /s /i swprv.dll
regsvr32 /s /i eventcls.dll
regsvr32 /s es.dll
regsvr32 /s stdprov.dll
regsvr32 /s vssui.dll
regsvr32 /s msxml.dll
regsvr32 /s msxml3.dll
regsvr32 /s msxml4.dll
net start "COM+ Event System"

Restart the server for the changes to take effect.

First I have restarted the server.
Then I checked again the command: VSSADMIN LIST WRITERS
And all writers stable now.

Now I started the backup of server1 again to see if its really working.

Backup is now working.
Just a reboot solved the problem.
Can also be, some updates where pending, so maybe they influenced the system.
