is it possible to deploy .net framework 3.5 with sp1 via WSUS 3. i have looked in wsus and searched for '.net' but all results are 'update' or 'patch' related rather than the full initial standalone installer. (the framework 3.5 without sp1 does NOT already exist on the xp clients.)

i am downloading critical, updates, rollups, service packs and feature packs from wsus.

thanks

OK, I think I will deploy using command line:
dotnet35.exe /q /norestart
but is there an alternative to the full offline installer to minimise the install size which is currently 250MB? Is there not a trimmed down version without language packs, x64 options etc etc?

Another complicated install solution from MS. Why not WSUS? Why not an MSI? Startup scripts are OK but you always need to botch some kind of IF EXIST file so not to install at every startup.
