I am using the Pervasive Control Center 10.3 (PCC) and I am trying to create and save views. However when I try to save it I get the error "The record has a key field containing a duplicate value (Btrieve error 5)". I have tried different statements I want to save as views and I get the same error.
However I can execute this statement with no errors.

Sounds like there's been a corruption in the database schema files (VIEW.DDF specifically).
- Can you create views in other databases?
- Do you have a VIEW.DDF in the same directory as the FILE.DDF for this database?
- As a test, have all users close the database in question, rename view.ddf to view.old, reconnect to the database, and try to create the views.  Does that fail?

Thanks that worked - sort of. I am now able to save a view but it does not show up under the views list. Where is it stored so that I can edit it

The views are stored in view.ddf but you cannot modify it directly.

How do I edit a view then or do I have to delete it and re-create it
