Please the below error details
"The replication agent has not logged a progress message in 10 minutes. This might indicate an unresponsive agent or high system activity. Verify that records are being replicated to the destination and that connections to the Subscriber, Publisher, and Distributor are still active."

Try to check following thing

for Snapshot agent, search in 'Activity Monitor' of publisher server for any lock. as Snapshot may required lock on some table and might cause chain of lock.  If this is a case, try run Snapshot when DB is less activity. If still failed, on my system, usually I've to announce maintenance down time. (which, actually, it may need only 10 seconds of downtime to complete the job)

for Distribution agent, you may need to run profiler on subscriber server
filter using application name like %publication name% to see what is the command being sent.

Thanks for the reply.
Can I leave the snapshot agent as it is in the failed state? The reason I am asking is because my Log reader agent is running just fine and they the replications works smoothly.

Thanks

If your replication already run smoothly. Then there is no concern for Snapshot.

But you may check on Distributor's SQL Agent. look at history of snapshot job.
to see how often it called.  if once and never.  then nothing to worry.
But if keep calling, maybe you should consider to disable it.
or find out reason why it keep calling.

note :
in SQL 2005, Snapshot job name is in following pattern ServerName-DatabaseName-PublicationName-number
0
